The U.S. Special Envoy for Missions, Richard Grenell, has responded to a report published by the Albanian media outlet Politiko.al, directed by the Democratic Party’s campaign spokesperson, Alfred Lela.

The article claimed that a planned meeting in Tirana between Prime Minister Edi Rama and Donald Trump Jr., where Richard Grenell would serve as a lobbyist, had failed once again.

The article titled “Meeting With Donald Trump Jr. – Rama’s Lobbyist Fails for the Second Time” triggered Grenell’s reaction.

In his post on platform X, Grenell stated that the news was false and requested the publisher to remove it from Politiko.al.

“I understand you are just days away from important elections. I understand that emotions are running high. I have been quietly observing your elections from the sidelines, because Albania is an important and trusted ally of America in NATO (and one of my favorite places to visit and vacation).

But this news from your media is A COMPLETE LIE. It must be corrected immediately and removed if you care about the facts,” Richard Grenell wrote, addressing the founder of Politiko.al, Alfred Lela.
