The deputy leader of the Democratic Party, Grida Duma, joined other party members in publicly ostracizing Lulzim Basha for suffering another consecutive electoral defeat.
Duma, DP’s regional head in Durres, claims that Basha did not even ask her when picking a nominee in the city. She also alleged that Basha stopped short of condemning a corruptive affair at the Port of Durres during the campaign.
Duma accused Basha of using DP’s press office to spread deceitful information about her.
Duma, who used to be one of Basha’s strongest allies among Democrats, is among the latest party members to come out against their party leader.
