The MPs who resigned after the April 25 elections were: Alfred Rushaj, Mark Marku, and Grida Duma.

Euronews Albania journalist, Raziela Myslimaj, said that it is expected that there will be more resignations, but it is not known whether they will be because of the crisis that the Democratic Party is currently going through or because of the upcoming local elections.

Myslimaj further indicated that when Alfred Rushaj officially ends his mandate, he is expected to be replaced by Petrit Doda, who ranked 32nd on Tirana’s list.

If Doda does not accept the mandate, as the situation in DP is very tense, the third in line is Asllan Dogjani. Mark Marku was replaced by the youngest MP in the Lezha district, Elda Hoti, who ranked ninth.

Meanwhile, Grida Duma, who gave up her mandate today, is expected to be replaced by Ori Nebiaj, who was ranked 18th on Tirana’s electoral list.

In the event that Nebiaj does not accept this mandate due to her ongoing commitments on television, then the post will be passed on to Lediana Fratari.
