The leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ramush Haradinaj, does not believe that a third Kurti government will be formed.

Speaking to KosovaPress on Monday, he stated that AAK remains committed to an opposition coalition and, according to him, no one from the opposition will cooperate with Vetëvendosje.

“We are committed as an Alliance to an opposition coalition, an opposition government. I don’t believe anyone from the opposition will cooperate with the ruling party. NISMA is also committed to the opposition coalition. I don’t believe [Kurti will form the government], they don’t have the numbers and are stalling. They can’t do it because they’re ten MPs short compared to last time,” said Haradinaj.

Meanwhile, the Social Democratic Initiative (Nisma) called media reports suggesting that their three MPs would vote in favor of forming a Kurti government—without joining the governing coalition—speculations.

Vesel Krasniqi, a member of Nisma’s presidency, told KosovaPress that “there is no movement at the moment” and that the party still stands by previous statements made by its chairman, Fatmir Limaj.
