The High Prosecutorial Council (KLP) and General Prosecutor, Olsian Cela, expressed a positive opinion on the new judicial map.
The new design affects small prosecution offices, as well as appeal tribunals, except those in the capital.
KLP Chairman Alfred Balla told Euronews Albania the new map came as a result of the urgent state.
KLP gave its approval for the new judicial map and will forward it to the Ministry of Justice.
“All members endorsed it, for all the innovations that the map brings, as we are more interested in the benefits that it yields for the prosecution”.
“There are prosecutions with one or two prosecutors, that can no longer stand as separate institutions”, said Balla.
Prosecutor-General Olsian Cela was on the same line and sent a memo to the Justice Ministry confirming their positive stance on the new judicial map.
“Reorganization is imperative in face of the repercussions brought by the Vetting. I regret the path chosen by our colleagues, lawyers”, said Balla.
