73% of Albanians always vote for the same party. Less than 1 in 4 Albanians choose a different party when they vote in the local or general elections.
3 in 5 Albanians (60%) believe that the Socialist Party is voted by citizens with the lowest income range.
Euronews Albania’s Barometer asked Albanian citizens about the ideological stances of the main parties in the country as well as the way they themselves have voted.
Results show that more than half of Albanian citizens (52.5%) believe that despite the issues that the Socialist or Democratic administration can have, their usual supporters will still give them their vote.
Differences between the Albanian left and right are seen as “simply part of the history rooted in Albania’s communist past” by 45% of Albanians.
Findings from Euronews Albania’s Barometer poll conducted by MRB and Data Centrum on a national level were reached through 1000 in-person conversations conducted from April 25 – May 7.
