The victims of the massacre of Rezalla, whose remains were found in a massive grave in the town of Kizevak in Serbia, will be returned to Kosovo on Thursday.

The Government Commission on Missing Persons noted that these are the remains of seven bodies as well as two exhumed several years ago from another massive grave in Rudnica.

Prime Minister Albin Kurti will pay homages in front of the coffins of the victims of the Rezalla massacre, near the Merdara border crossing.

As the war came to an end in 1999, an estimated 6,500 people were still missing.

Since then, several burial grounds have been searched in Kosovo and Serbia and so far, nearly 70% of the missing people have been found.

According to Kosovo authorities, 1,600 people are still unaccounted for.
