The head of International Election Observer Mission Ursula Gaçek along with other OSCE ODIHR representatives in Albania, said they have been observing the election process since March 17.
Gacek said that there is no message to give to Albanian voters as this is not her duty, she is here to observe the progress of the election campaign in general.
“It is not for me to give messages to Albanians people, my election observation mission is dedicated to the entire progress of the election campaign. I have been in Albania since 17th of March. “All the attention is dedicated to the election day, but for us, this is just one part of election observation’, said the ambassador.
Gacek will closely observe a small number of voting centers during the day, but other observers have been stationed in 12 regions and the long-term observers have been there since the middle of March.
Ursula Gacek said that there is yet not enough information to determine how the election process went, as they are gathering and reviewing the information throughout Albania to come to a conclusion.
The ambassador announced that tomorrow at 15:00 she will hold a press conference on zoom due to the pandemic conditions. During this conference, she will answer any questions from journalists.
