Alda Klosi, arrested 2 weeks ago on charges of money laundering, false declaration and concealment of income, has addressed the court with a request for her release.

Through her defense lawyer, the former official appealed for a milder sentence.

Klosi asked to be released from the cell, contesting the decision of the first instance that left him in prison. In arguing her request, she said that her health condition is not good and she also claimed that there is no one to take care of her elderly mother who is also suffering from poor health.

The request for her release will be filed in the Court of Appeal of the General Jurisdiction, then the court will set the date for the examination of this request.
