Political parties have now officially closed their electoral campaigns for the April 25th elections. Communication expert, Edlira Gjoni said on Ilva Now that the campaign has been more in 3D than anything else, bringing up the example of Rama’s drones, using during electoral rallies.
“I believe this has been a 3D campaign. I call it the campaign of the drone, especially for SP, which has been very drawn to drones and Rama’s didn’t start a single speech if the drone wasn’t at work; the visual effects were very exaggerated,” she said.
She added that the closing rally organized by DP in Tirana didn’t leave her with a good taste.
“I saw caravans with car horns that were leaving towards the end of DP’s campaign, car horns, Albanian and DP’s flags, didn’t give me such a good feeling, it seems like the same chaos. It was more enthusiastic than it should’ve been,” she added.
For Political Science expert, Andri Nurellari, political parties have organized a classic campaign that has intensified the political discourse. He didn’t spare his critiques for the Socialist Party, saying that they turned the pandemic and the earthquake into an electoral campaign.
“The campaign, in many aspects, has been the classic campaign that is characterized by an increase of sophistication in the political discourse. There were videos produced on both sides, the use of social networks, choreographies etc. In this aspect, we can see a modernization of the campaign. But if in the past, we had campaigns with asphalt, now we had them with vaccines. The inauguration of new roads in the past has turned into the inauguration of vaccines, which only served the campaign,” he said.
