A journalist from Kosovo Xhemajl Rexha says that journalists in Albania do not have the ability to challenge Prime Minister Edi Rama.
In an interview for Euronews Albania, he said that unlike what happens in Albania, journalists in Kosovo insist and ask their questions without going through any kind of second-guessing if they will be criticized for this by the public opinion or the media when they work.
“There are very few media that ask him questions that he doesn’t like, they should be more insistent. We know the concentration of the media in Albania. Journalists in Kosovo insist and ask their questions without having any second guesses if they will be criticized for this by their bosses. There are times when they ‘chase them around the field’ so to speak, for something unrelated to the situation. We know that politicians get nervous when they are asked about things that have nothing to do with the conference, but we encourage our colleagues to do that and insist on getting the answers to their questions’, said the journalist.
