Defense minister, Niko Peleshi declared that in January, work will begin on the construction of the new NATO military base in Kucova.
In addition, he clarified that the process of reprioritization will be in compliance with all legal prescriptions and that there won’t be any delays, whereas immediately after the building process, work will begin on implementing the investment which is valued at up to 50 million euros.
The impact from this investment, according to Peleshi, will involve the entire area because there will be economic growth as well as more jobs.
Meanwhile, the minister considered this good news for the region as well, due to the improvement of national and regional security.
The decision, which was proposed by the minister of defense and is linked to the largest project in the field of infrastructure development for our Armed Forces, was approved in today’s meeting of the Council of Ministers.
