Our reformed justice system will have to prove itself through its final ruling on the incinerators’ affair, setting the tone for the rest of our new judicial era.

These were the sentiments of 60% of Albanians participating in the latest poll conducted by Euronews Albania, which revolved around the incinerators’ concession scandal that cost our state budget hundreds of thousands of dollars in damages.

Expectations are set high, but citizens’ trust in SPAK actually solving this case is much lower.

Only 36.8% of Albanians participating in the Barometer poll said that they believe that SPAK’s investigation will be impartial, while 32% believe the opposite to be true.

Around 67% of Socialist voters believe in SPAK’s ability to be impartial.

More than half of Democratic voters, on the other hand, have no faith in SPAK (57%).

Results were retrieved through 1.000 in-person household conversations conducted on a national scale from January 13-24, 2022.
