The Special Prosecutor’s Office of Kosovo has announced that it has filed an indictment against an individual in connection with attacks on members of NATO’s peacekeeping mission in Kosovo, KFOR, in May 2023.

According to the statement, M.D. is suspected of collaborating and coordinating with other defendants of Serbian nationality from Kosovo on May 29, 2023. Using violence, weapons, and hard objects, they allegedly attacked and threatened KFOR personnel and Kosovo Police, causing physical injuries and material damages.

The prosecution stated that evidence indicates M.D. participated in the violence against KFOR members near the municipal building in Zvečan.

“The prosecutor from the Special Prosecutor’s Office has requested the Court to find the defendant guilty, punish him according to the law, and extend the pretrial detention until the conclusion of this criminal case,” the statement said.
