The German Embassy in Tirana has reacted to the passing of Archbishop Anastas Janullatos.

In a message of condolence, the embassy expressed its appreciation for the life and work of the Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës, and All Albania, who left a profound impact on the country’s religious and social life.

“With deep sorrow, we received the news of the passing of the Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës, and All Albania, Anastas. His deep faith and tireless dedication to rebuilding the Orthodox Church, as well as to peaceful interfaith coexistence in Albania, will always remain in our memory. May his work continue to be a source of inspiration for future generations,” the Embassy’s message states.
