Kosovo Minister of Interior Xhelal Svecla declared on Friday that attacks against police officials in northern Mitrovica were triggered by the installation of law and order in that part of the country, while the main objective is to plant disorder.

During a briefing at the Parliamentary Committee on Security, the interior minister said authorities are investigating the attacks.

Kosovo Police recorded six attacks from April 13 to 26.

Svecla also presented the main achievements reached in a year, reported local media KosovaPress.

“In the first year, we carried out 1,000 police operations and tackled 50 criminal groups. As a result, we froze €14 million”, minister Svecla said.
