The chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, says that Prime Minister Edi Rama and the ‘mafia in power are the main causes of the mass departure of young people from Albania’.
In a statement to the press, Meta said that the government should feel ashamed for the tragic consequences that it has waged upon the country.
Among other things, Meta underlined that Rama continues to slam local investors and favor monopolies.
“He blames the British authorities for a phenomenon, that of depopulation and our country’s complete brain drain; our youth are putting their lives in danger because of what our own government has instigated, with its policies that work against young people, instead of creating any real opportunities for them to stay in their own country, to be employed and to support their projects, to allow them to have a family here as well. But, that’s not the case. It is simply the mafia in power that is the main cause of the destruction of these young people’s future perspectives.
Meanwhile, the government should feel ashamed and keep its head down, for these tragic consequences it has solely caused, try to strengthen cooperation with the French authorities and cooperate with British authorities, and treat our citizens with dignity. Meanwhile, here in our country, this prime minister and this government continue to deal a major blow to our local investors, in favor of monopolies and oligarchs”, he emphasized.
