Democratic MP Jorida Tabaku stated that the fuel board is setting prices however the oligarchs want.

According to her, ERE has become a government notary.

“Unfortunately, from my experience at ERE, when the government decided to increase the price fivefold for consumers above the 800-kilowatt hour band, I found that ERE was voting as the government wanted.

In fact, while listening to the respected members of the ERE board, it seemed to me that I was listening to the directors of the Ministry of Energy and not people voted by this parliament to protect the public interest. So, ERE was transformed into a directorate within the office of the ministry or depending on the prime minister,” said Tabaku.

She added that this entity must protect the citizen regardless of the party in power, while emphasizing that the bill for failures, corruption and incompetence cannot be charged to the citizens.
