Journalist Anduela Llabani has broken down the investigations into the Fier incinerator affair, where SPAK issued 11 arrest warrants earlier today.
Invited on “Now” with Erla Mehilli on Euronews Albania, she said that this action should have been taken before, since the investigations have already started for the Fier incinerator.
“This is an action that should have been taken a long time ago. Investigations into the Fier incinerator were the first to start. But what happened? Fier’s investigations revealed those of Elbasan, the people who were arrested first. At the end of the investigations of Elbasan, we went to the arrests for Fier. There is a logical flow of Fieri, if it starts with Fieri it must end with Fieri. Why were these people released after 1 year? Only 5 arrest warrants were executed. We received a very dry answer from SPAK’s spokeswoman, stating that at the end of the investigation we will officially notify you about today’s arrests. There has been a total of 15 arrest warrants,” she said.
