Journalist, Glidona Daci, revealed during an interview for Euronews Albania that SPAK’s next ‘strike’ will again be on the left side of politics.
Daci said that the Special Prosecutor’s Office is investigating some ‘hot’ files regarding corruption and abuse of power against left-wing officials or former officials.
She said that it is a bit difficult for the prosecution body to prove criminal offenses of abuse of power from former DP officials, which have been prescribed many years ago.
“SPAK is in its fourth year. There will be several other ‘hot files’ that will, unfortunately, hit the left once again. If the prime minister describes it as an attack by SPAK which is hitting the left, then it will be left again. Because the left is currently on its third term in power and undoubtedly the tenders where abuses and corruption are suspected were carried out by the left. The right was in power from 2005-2013 in the provinces and you can’t catch a criminal offense of abuse of power, which was prescribed 5 years ago”, said Daci.
