The Complaints and Sanctions Commission (KAS) has approved an appeal submitted by the “Nisma Shqipëria Bëhet” coalition, led by Adriatik Lapaj, and has ordered the opening of a ballot box in the Vlora district.
The appeal was based on claims that ballots without the required official stamp were found during the counting process, raising concerns about their validity.
KAS decided to verify the contents of the box to clarify the alleged irregularities. The box will be opened on Monday, June 2, at the premises of the Central Election Commission (CEC)—marking the first ballot box from the May 11 elections to be opened for review.
In addition, KAS completed its preliminary review of three appeals submitted by the Democratic Party for the Berat, Gjirokastër, and Vlorë districts. The commission ruled that diaspora voting data will also be included in the administrative review process.
