On Monday, with 61 votes in favor, the Parliament of Kosovo approved the government’s request to extend the emergency measures for energy supply for another month.

Meanwhile, opposition MPs boycotted the vote.

Several times in the past, government representatives have stated that the extension of emergency measures is a necessary step for the “complete normalization” of the energy situation.

In August, when Kosovo faced power cuts, the government approved emergency measures that included measures to save electricity by all institutions, the ban on the use of electricity for cryptocurrencies, and the support of the Market Transmission System Operator (KOSTT).
