Political analyst Ridvan Berisha declared during Euronews Albania’s ‘Morning’ that Open Balkan is an initiative that shares the same values and principles as the European Union.
In regards to the hesitation of the government of Kosovo to join this initiative, the analyst said that we don’t have to fear this chance to collaborate.
“In Kosovo, rational voices that reflect in an objective manner are few. These voices are mainly coming from civil society rather than politicians. In the year 2021, in Kosovo, we are still re-injecting the fear of something that we don’t even see. Why should we fear a platform of regional cooperation, specifically from Serbia?” – he said.
In addition, he underlined that yesterday’s meeting of the Open Balkan Summit in Albania was commented with notes of nationalism in Kosovo.
In regards to the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue in Brussels, Berisha said that it isn’t making any kind of progress.
