The Constitutional Court of Kosovo has been accepted as a full member of the European Conference of Constitutional Courts (CECC), after 13 years since its application in 2011.
This decision marks a historic moment for Kosovo and its constitutional system, fully integrating it into the European network of constitutional courts.
Kosovo’s acceptance into CECC was confirmed during the Preparatory Meeting of the Presidents’ Circle of the 20th Congress of the European Conference of Constitutional Courts, which was held on February 28, 2025, in Tirana. This meeting was organized under the Presidency of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Albania, which is the presiding court of CECC for the 2024-2027 period, and as the organizer of the 20th Congress of this Conference, which will be held in May 2027.
The event was attended by Presidents and representatives from 32 member constitutional courts of CECC.
