Kosovo is set to interview on Friday several potential candidates eyeing to become the country’s new prosecutor-general.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti said on Facebook that this process is crucial in strengthening the rule of law, adding that he expects the process to be fair and transparent.
This process is highly important for the Republic of Kosovo, for its citizens and the rule of law, that is why it has grabbed everybody’s attention”, said Kurti.
PM Kurti emphasized that the new prosecutor-general must be someone who is brave and have high moral and professional integrity.
“Citizens need a prosecutor-general that is brave, hardworking, and energetic”, Kurti added in order to tackle organized crime and high-level corruption.
“We need to fight at all times and all places organized crime, high-level corruption, and any sort of criminal activity. Justice is needed for the dignity and welfare of citizens, but also for our national security”, concluded Kurti.
