In an interview for BBC, Prime Minister Albin Kurti stated that Serbia’s goal is to “Bosnianize Kosovo”, and pledged to prevent that from happening.
The head of Kosovo’s executive branch also dismissed the establishment of the Association of Serb-majority Municipalities, be that during his in time in power, or even in case his party steps down in opposition.
“When the Association did not get implemented, none of the Serbs actually protested, never. It was only Belgrade who became nervous. They (Serbia) want to repeat the bosnianization of Kosovo, but we will not allow that, be that if we are in opposition or in government. This is the reason why I got voted: To make Kosovo’s bosnianization impossible”, declared Kurti.
He also asserted that the government program seeks to help both Albanians as well as Serbs living in Kosovo.
“If we ask Serbs about their complaints, they would respond ‘jobs and justice’, but Belgrade wants to establish a state within a state. A Serbian state inside Kosovo’s autonomy”, he concluded.
A few days ago, Albin Kurti said there is still no date for his next meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
