The Special Envoy of the European Union for the Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, issued a statement after the Tuesday meeting between chief negotiators held in Brussels.

Lajcak said on Twitter that after difficult negotiations that lasted for about 11-hours, the two parties are close to reaching an agreement on several documents.

Kosovo and Serbia chief negotiators, Besnik Bislimi and Petar Petkovic, met in Brussels on Tuesday in line with the dialogue process mediated by the European Union.

In an official press release, the Prime Minister’s Office said that among the topics discussed were the missing people.

“The meeting consisted of a discussion on the missing people during the Kosovo War, for the delicacy and pressing importance of resolving this issue. Energy was another topic discussed, in line with the existing agreement”, the press release read.
