During his official visit to Prishtina, EU’s special envoy, Miroslav Lajcak stated that there is space for progress in the framework of the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, while also putting an emphasis on the strategic importance of this process for the whole of Europe.
After his meeting with the prime minister of Kosovo, he added that the EU hopes to be able to convince leaders of both countries to hold a meeting before the end of the year.
Lajcak also underlined that simply holding a meeting isn’t the only concern but the outcomes that will be produced as a result.
The EU official also met with president Vjosa Osmani during his stay. The latter declared that Kosovo will continue to be a dedicated and constructive party of the dialogue with Serbia.
According to her, the success of this process isn’t important only to Kosovo, but the entire region as well.
