During an interview for Euronews Albanai, lawyer Adriatik Lapaj, did not rule out the possibility of being a candidate in the race for Tirana’s mayor.
While being asked if he has ever been proposed by political parties to be a candidate, Lapaj said that if he makes up his mind, he’ll just enter the race and won’t ask anyone.
He further highlighted that he did not do this because he wants to serve the opposition.
“I didn’t do it because I wanted to serve the cohesion of the opposition in order not to create further divisions, that is, to give them an opportunity to understand and open up to the values. Openness will create union. I have tried to show myself as a person who has no personal ego.
If I make up my mind, I don’t ask anyone else, let alone these ones. If I go up on that stage…that’s all I can say. If I make up my mind, I’m running, but the thing is that they need to reflect. Everything is taken hostage here. It is not possible for a family to have someone working for the state and not have their entire extended family be employed there also,” said Lapaj.
