Lawyers in Korca, Shkodra, Lezha, and Vlora continued on Tuesday to boycott judicial processes.
They decided to extend the boycott after a project from the High Judicial Council to shut down regional appeal tribunals.
Meanwhile, most lawyers in Tirana and Elbasan have returned to work, except for a few.
The new judicial map sparked a backlash as the project was designed to have a total of 13 first instance courts, 2 administrative courts, and a single appeal court.
Consequently, lawyers from across the country argued that the project undermines access to justice for many citizens and went on a strike.
