Democratic Party MP Luciano Boci ranked the reasons why the Democratic Party has decided to organize a national protest on July 7.
Boci said that the duty of politics is to turn a real concern into a public concern and when faced with a lack of solutions, to show accountability before the citizens who it is supposed to represent.
“Politics should turn real concerns into public ones. Whoever looks for a solution and can’t find it through the administration and doesn’t have any economic means will organize with his people, in order to turn citizens’ worries into an alternative. Citizens raise their voices so that the government can gain accountability and so that the political force can be closer to him because its duty is to be close to its citizens. Otherwise, the creation of a distance between a party and its citizens belittles a political force,” – said Boci.
