Professor, Klodiana Beshku and university student Arjon Kucuku shared their thoughts on Euronews Albania’s morning show, regarding the controversial government policy mandating all students to get vaccinated before the start of the academic year.

Beshku maintained that there is no need for anyone to break the rules and that no one who hasn’t been vaccinated will be allowed to enter the auditorium. Kucuku on the other hand declared that he will file a lawsuit if he is not allowed to attend his classes due to a lack of vaccination.

According to the university student, the legal steps he is prepared to take are in compliance with anti-discrimination laws, because no one according to him, should have any right to education over someone who doesn’t agree to get their anti-COVID shot.

In response to these claims, professor Beshku stated that despite her wish to have all students be physically present during a lesson, the protocols must be followed.

“In cases of this nature, if every one of us decides to act however he or she wishes, then we would leave space for interpretation and I believe that this would create chaos. Rules are there for a reason so that they can stop the chaos,” – said Beshku.
