The head of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, clashed with the analyst Andi Bushati, after the latter told him that Lulzim Basha, when he was the head of the DP, held stronger and larger protests.

Invited to Euronews Albania’s “Now with Erla Mehilli”, Meta told Bushati that he was in favor of relinquishing the mandates, adding that Basha did not ‘burn’ the mandates, he sold them.  

In addition, Meta emphasized that the former chief democrat has made a fool out of people.

Meta: Ok, then let me just say this; weren’t you one of the biggest supporters of the Democrats surrendering their mandates in Parliament? 

Bushati: Yes, and I stand by that.

Meta: Yes, and he sold the mandates, he did not surrender them. Lulzim Basha made fools out of people and the opposition; He took people out there and pretended to ‘burn’ the Prime Minister’s mushroom in absolute vain.
