President Ilir Meta was in Fier earlier today when he said that the voting process is continuing smoothly almost everywhere and pointed up that until now, these elections have exhibited a considerable turnout.
The head of the state also added that everyone should submit to the will of the people and wait in patience for the final result.
“It’s important that the entire Albanian nation heads to the ballot stations. Everyone should submit to the will of the people. I invite everyone to stay calm and patiently wait for the outcome,” stated the president.
President Meta also commented on relations with the US, which according to him are excellent.
“Relations with the US are excellent because they are on the side of the people and the people will show them that they believe in democracy,” concluded Meta.
