President Ilir Meta responded to accusations from Prime Minister Edi Rama after his recent calls on investigating former PM Sali Berisha and the country’s President.
Meta declared from a press conference on Tuesday, that Rama his calls on SPAK are done to divert the attention from the corruption.
“What about those hundreds of millions of euros that foreign investors take from Albania because of their arbitrary businesses”, Meta said.
“Who prevented them from investigating Berisha? Who prevented SPAK from investigating me? This is all done to shift the attention away”, said Meta.
Recently, Prime Minister Edi Rama called on SPAK to launch an investigation into former PM Sali Berisha and President Ilir Meta, adding that Albania “is impatiently waiting to see him face SPAK”.
