The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, reiterated that Albania has fulfilled all the conditions to accept its bid in starting accession talks.
In a joint press conference with PM Rama, the President of the EU Council noted that the integration process must be energized through the reforms, in order to accelerate the process without having to wait for all criteria to be fulfilled.
“We need to bring new energies to the integration process in order to give new incentives for reforms and accelerate the integration process. We’re working on bringing concrete results. We’re accelerating the integration process. Albania has fulfilled all the conditions to launch accession negotiations and talks must start as early as possible”, said Michel.
