Some members from DP’s provisional committee went on Thursday at the party’s headquarters, one day ahead of a protest called to remove Lulzim Basha.

For the second time in a row, they found the doors locked.

Ervin Minarrolli, a member of DP’s reestablishment group, said that “tomorrow Democrats will arrive to execute the decision”.

“In talks about the future, this is the future that the Democratic Party is offering today. It is a party without a vision or inspiration. That’s why it’s important to re-establish the DP. Democrats had their say at the December 11 Assembly and tomorrow Democrats from across Albania will come to execute that decision”, said Minarolli.

Mimoza Hajdarmataj, former MP, said that the last week should had been a working week.

“The party’s doors should have been opened so that Democrats prepare for the largest action, but this is the only party that no longer takes any actions against Rama’s government, but instead shuts its doors to Democrats”, she said.

On the other hand, authorities have explained that the doors have been shut due to some restoration work, in a statement released to the press.
