Interior Minister Bledi Cuci urged the opposition on Thursday to respond positively to the government’s call in its fight against crime and corruption.
During his parliament address, minister Cuci made a plea to set aside politics that lead to divisiveness and confront this battle.
“Every debate that comes from the opposition in fulfillment of its essential role in the parliamentary sphere is healthy and welcoming. It is absolutely normal to be politically divided when it comes to how we will empower the Police and take it away from the claws of individuals who don’t deserve that uniform, or strike organized crime and remove their wealth in order to restore it to our society as a form of compensation”, Cuci said.
“There is no doubt that we should be together in this war. Politics that divide us without showing the proper way forward should be left behind as they lead us nowhere”, he added.
