The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development attended on Saturday the Conference on the Global Food Crisis where she spoke about the importance of cooperation in the wake of an imminent crisis.

Minister Frida Krifca held that the crisis clearly highlights the importance of building a solid and stable food system in our countries and collaborating to exchange the best existing techniques.

“By working together, with the support of powerful countries, we can secure access to a stable and secure food supply for our peoples, which minimizes waste and negative impacts on the environment”, said minister Krifca.

Krifca also stressed the importance of the environmental sustainability of agriculture and the food processing system, noting that Albania has been committed to this direction.

Parties agreed on the need for close cooperation in finding a solution to this situation.
