A hostage situation at a second-level bank in Montenegro’s Tivar has come to an end after a several hours stand-off with the police.

Edin Begzic agreed to surrender after negotiations with Deputy Prime Minister and coordinator of security services Dritan Abazovic.

“The most important thing is that everything ended peacefully,” Abazovic said.

The attacker threatened to use explosives and that he was armed.

The young man accused the bank of stealing money from a boat manufacturing company and had posted a video on Youtube calling on the Deputy Prime Minister to help recover the money.

Police authorities reported that the aggressor agreed to surrender after a long standoff, threatening to blow himself up.
