Authorities in Montenegro are introducing stricter entry restrictions because of the rise of infections currently present in the country.

Euronews Albania has learned that in order to enter Montenegro you need to fulfill one of the following criteria:

• Vaccination certificate presenting evidence of 1 or 2 doses
• PCR Test, taken no longer than 72 hours from travel date
• Proof that you have recovered from COVID-19 no less than 14 days from travel date and no more than 180 days from your last positive test
• Negative antigen test, no more than 48 hours from travel date

Moreover, in order to participate in weddings, birthdays or other festivities, citizens should fulfill one of the above-mentioned criteria.

These measures will be in force from August 21^st – September 10^th.
