During ‘Shock’ on Euronews Albania, analysts Andi Bushati and Baton Haxhiu discussed about the violent events happening earlier today in Elbasan, where one person was killed.
According to Haxhiu, this was a cold murder and this execution can’t be justified by any sort of disagreement. He emphasized that “whoever has aimed to destabilize the elections in Albania, has committed an additional crime”.
“It is a great pain and this time I really didn’t believe it could happen again,” said Haxhiu.
On the other hand, Bushati stated that the incident “is only the beginning of something that will become something much bigger”.
“Because when power decides to rob the elections by force, such incidents are bound to happen,” he said.
According to analyst Bushati “the one that is political responsible for this murder is only one man, Edi Rama” linking the incident with the clash between party supporters during the Summer Day celebrations.
“During the events of Summer Day, today’s victim was amongst those, exercising violence in the name of Edi Rama and Taulant Balla on the supporters of DP. If we had a professional police force and a professional legal state, then today he wouldn’t have been in the grave, but in jail. He is in the grave and not in jail because Edi Rama wanted him to be a kamikaze, so that he could continue to rob these elections freely. If we continue to incite these people that have a criminal history to steal the elections in the name of power, what happened today will only be the beginning of a larger bloodshed and catastrophe,” said Bushati.
According to Baton Haxhiu, “moments like this should never result in murder unless there are political impulses and the fact that political impulses usually come from the losing side is a problem,” he said, while adding that the author of the murder in Elbasan, was “used”.
According to Haxhiu, in Albania all political parties have created parallel systems in order to protect the vote.
“There is no political party that hasn’t created a parallel system and Elbasan is a pure example, where bandits have always had repeated clashes because they have always been recruited,” he said.
Bushati concluded his argument by saying that “an electoral massacre is in the making”.
