Analyst Mentor Kikia says that Erdogan has a clear religious agenda in Albania.

‘Muslims cannot come near the mosque’, said Kikia while commenting on what he described as Erdogan’s religious agenda in Albania.

During his appearance on Euronews Albania’s ‘NOW’, Kika said that an even bigger issue than the closure of Turkish schools with Erdogan’s ultimatum is that of the Namazgja mosque that is waiting to be inaugurated for years now.

Analyst Kikia also said that he considers it a waste of time to try to find reasons among the reasons given by the government for closing down the Turkish kindergarten and college.

“In a case where there are more than 1,000 witnesses who show the opposite, I think the government’s arguments fail to come through. Plus, if we follow the dynamics of the event, this is just the next step, neither the first nor the last,” said Kikia.

According to him, in Albania, the institutions opened and supported by the Gulen foundation have suffered a systematic trauma.

Kikia argued that all Turkish personnel from these institutions have left the country gradually and illegally in order to escape infiltration from Albania because they were wanted by Turkish authorities.

“From time to time, Albania, despite its own will, I emphasize this, has obeyed the will, now not simply of Turkey, but of Erdogan personally,” said the analyst.
