Inflation reached a new record high in North Macedonia, at a rate of 12%.
Statistics show that the price of products in the basic food basket went up by an average of 17%, especially cooking oil which has now gone up by 40%.
The price of bread has also gone up by 20%.
Meanwhile, products such as milk, cheese, eggs, fruits, vegetables, energy and transport have also seen a significant rise whereas the minimum wage doesn’t cover a family’s most elementary.
