The leader of the Christian Democratic Party (PDK), Nard Ndoka, said that the candidate of the Democratic Party in Shkodra does not carry any electoral weight.
Although the DP has still to announce its official candidate for the municipality, Ndoka maintained that Bardh Spahia, the candidate that won at the primaries, will sweep the votes at the by-elections too.
PDK’s chair also confirmed that he’s joining the coalition led by Sali Berisha.
DP’s provisional Refoundation Commission picked Spahia for the primaries in Shkodra. Now, he will also be endorsed by the other parties that will join the coalition.
According to Ndoka, the primaries served to ‘wane off’ the role of the leader, and give more weight to what the members of the Democratic Party actually want.
