During the last 24 hours, Kosovo reported a drastic drop in new COVID-19 infections.

The Ministry of Health said that 6 citizens lost their lives today, due to complications attributed to the virus, whereas after results of 2.319 came back, only 46 were confirmed positive.

The application of strict restrictive measures seems to have been a direct cause for these positive results in Kosovo, at least in terms of bringing the number of victims and new cases way down, which is already a great success.

According to IKSHPK, in the last 24 hours, 903 citizens have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries since the onset of the pandemic in the country to 147 000.

At the moment, there’s a total of 8 903 active cases scattered around the country, with Prishtina being the most affected commune.
