“Elections for the new leader of the Democratic Party will take place on May 22”, declared MP Belind Kellici.
The decision was announced on Saturday at the National Assembly after approving amendments to the party’s statute.
A few days ago, former DP leader Sali Berisha declared that the Refoundation Commission proposed holding leadership elections on May 21 or 22.
Berisha has openly said that he intends re-election, 9 years after stepping down following his defeat at the 2013 parliamentary polls.
