At the end of this year, Prime Minister Rama held a conference with journalists as he emphasized the intensity of the work done in several areas.

“An excellent job has been done with the diagnosis process of the entire system of Albania in all areas. There have been surprising evaluations by the European Commission for the performance of our national team.  It is a significant impetus and fact for what has been done in these years. It is a fact that even this year, after 29 years, Albania has left the phase of full monitoring of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, so we are no longer a country under full monitoring, but we are with those countries that will join the European family.

Albania has managed to push and make it possible to enter into cooperation with other countries of the region, dialogue between the European Commission, from which the new EU growth plan in support of the countries of the Western Balkans emerged as a concrete result. I feel pride when i say because it was not an easy process”, said Rama.

On the other hand, the prime minister emphasized that by 2027, Albania will benefit from about 1 billion euros from the New Growth Plan.

“Now we and the countries of the Region have at our disposal a new financial instrument in the New Growth Plan, where in the period from today to 2027 we will receive about 1 billion euros, but we also have the green light to join the European family in some segments of the functioning of the united Europe.

Thanks to the New Growth Plan, Albanians who make money transfers from the EU area to Albania will no longer have any extra commission because Albania is officially a member of the European Single Payments Office”, Prime Minister Edi Rama said at the conference.
