Lika Korça and Durrës, Vlora will also have a new stadium. A Belgian architecture studio won the bid, in competition with other projects from Denmark and Switzerland.

For Prime Minister Edi Rama, the city deserved a new a new stadium since a long time ago. However, the investment comes at a time when Vlora is having a big development in tourism.

“Vlora went through a dark period of abandonment and isolation. Only in these last years, the city has risen to a new level and has become even more visited,” said Rama.

The Prime Minister had another good news to all those who love sports. He announced a collaboration agreement with another big European football club, after the deal signed with Manchester City.

“I’m negotiating with another football club, so that we can have a football academy in Vlora, according to the highest international standards,” announced the Prime Minister.
