In the ranks of the Russian army during the aggression against Ukraine, there is a considerable number of Serbian mercenaries.

For payment, they have become part of the military forces that have committed crimes against civilians in the occupied areas of Ukraine.

On social networks, a mercenary who identifies himself as a Serb, has published a video from the annexed region of Ukraine, Donbas.

The Serbian mercenary says that after the invasion of Ukraine, the next conflict will be in Kosovo. “We are here today to get rid of the NATO occupiers from Kosovo. The next destination is Kosovo!” Kosovo is Serbia”, the Serbian mercenary declares in the video.

The Serbian government has not taken any measures to stop its citizens from participating in the war in Ukraine. Meanwhile, Serbian media have published data showing that Serbian citizens have more facilities than other nationalities to become part of the Russian army.

On the part of the government of Kosovo, there have been denunciations regarding the presence of Russian soldiers, mainly the Wagner group in the North of Kosovo. Kosovo intelligence officials have stated that there were Russian mercenaries in the last year’s incidents in the north of Kosovo.
